===================================================================

..Rainy Sunday...

It will be the second rainy and breezy Sunday of 2007 today across
Alabama. Low pressure will be moving northeast across the state
today. Ahead of it, showers and storms have been spreading northward
overnight. Rain and embedded storms will be prevalent across the area
through much of the day. South of about Clanton, the storms could be
on the strong side. Organized severe weather is not expected, but as
Thursday night reminds us, with Alabama weather, expect the
unexpected.

TONIGHT: A prefrontal trough will shifts winds around to the
southwest this afternoon and the rain should gradually taper off. It
will become a bit breezy by late this afternoon. The cold front will
sweep across the state, exiting eastern counties by late evening.
Behind it, our winds will shift to the northwest, opening the door for
some cooler air. Readings tonight will bottom out in upper 30s for
the most part. Skies should remain cloudy until the pre-dawn hours,
with clouds breaking up during the morning hours from west to east.

MONDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY: Monday will be cooler and slightly breezy
with highs in the 50s. Expect a light freeze Monday night under clear
and calm skies. A reinforcing shot of cold air will arrive Tuesday,
but the only thing you will notice will be a sharpening northwest
breeze. Some locations on Tuesday may not get out of the upper 40s.
A stouter freeze will follow on Tuesday night, with most locations
getting into the middle to upper 20s before morning. Wednesday will
feature southeasterly winds and partly cloudy skies as we get ready
for our next storm system.

WET PATTERN: A persistent battle between airmasses will be setting up
by Thursday just to our northwest. Our moisture levels will be
increasing and showers will develop. Showery weather will continue
through Saturday and into Sunday before the heavy rains begin to move
into Alabama. They will be with us into the first couple of days the
following week.

ON THIS DATE IN 2002: Snow fell in unusual places in the Middle East,
like Amman, Jordan. Amman's hilly streets were ice coated, stranding
many people. Flights were cancelled, schools closed and power lines
cut. The storm also affected parts of Israel and Lebanon. Heavy snow
and extreme cold was also plaguing parts of southeast Europe. Traffic
came to a standstill in Jerusalem as heavy snow fell.

ON THIS DATE IN 1973: Major ice storm cripples Atlanta, Georgia with
4 inches of freezing rain from the 7th to the 8th. Between 7pm and
9pm, 2.27 inches of liquid equivalent precipitation fell in the form
of freezing rain, sleet and snow coated Atlanta while the temperature
hovered at 32 degrees. Schools and businesses are closed for several
days and damages total $25 million. Up to 300,000 have no electricity
for a week.

LOOKING FOR AN ALARM SYSTEM?
CALL PRESTIGE ALARMS--WE ARE DIFFERENT.
GIVE US A CHANCE!

Prestige Alarm specializes in monitoring security systems without the use of
expensive phone lines or unreliable cell phones.

How do we do this? Prestige Alarm is one of the few companies who monitors
with an UL listed FCC licensed radio network.
In a typical system, if your phone line is cut or fails, then you have no
communication to the outside world.

Since we do not use phone lines, we can still dispatch the fire or police
when the emergency requires. Despite cut phone lines, storms or over worked
cell phones, we still get the signal through.

We do not offer the free systems like some of the other security companies.
But you do not want to trust in free equipment to protect the people who are
close to you.
