BELIEVE

When you hear the name "Jesus," what comes to your mind?

Do you think of Him as a good man, a teacher of morals...or
as the Savior, Lord and Treasure of your life? What you believe
about Jesus determines how you live your life...from the way
you treat people...to what you treasure most.

Join us this Sunday at Hunter Street Baptist Church in Hoover.
We'll look at what it means to truly believe...and why it matters.

Hunter Street is located at 2600 John Hawkins Parkway (Hwy 150)
in Hoover. Sunday service times are 8:05, 9:30 and 10:45 a.m.

...Windy and Wet Tonight...

A low pressure system moving out of the Gulf of Mexico will bring rainy and windy conditions to Alabama through tonight. The low should move up the I-65 and I-85 corridors tonight. The rain will end tonight, although there could be a little left over light rain or drizzle Sunday. Nicer weather will set up shop for the start of the week with another rain system at midweek and a big storm system next weekend.

FOR YOUR SATURDAY: The track of the low will determine your rainfall amounts, wind direction and the chance of a little thunder. If the low takes I-65/I-85, Central Alabama will see southeast and east winds, shifting to northeast overnight. A more northerly track could give parts of the area southerly winds tonight and the chance of a little thunder, although no significant storms are expected. Lows tonight will drop into the 40s, and then we may struggle to get above 50F tomorrow. There could be a little leftover light rain or drizzle in the morning. Skies will clear Sunday night, with a few peeks of sunshine showing up late in the day especially over western sections.

MONDAY AND TUESDAY: Sunshine and relatively mild readings will prevail Monday and Tuesday as high pressure builds over the region. Highs will be near 60F, with lows in the 30s and 40s.

MIDWEEK SYSTEM: Most of Wednesday will be dry, but another storm system will bring rain to Alabama Wednesday night into Thursday. Friday looks nice, with partly cloudy skies and seasonable temperatures in the 50s and 30s.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK: A powerful storm system will be developing by late in the week over the Plains states. This low will bring rain and storms back to the state late in the weekend. The latest model runs have hinted that Saturday, as well as much of Sunday might remain dry. Highs on Saturday will be near 60F. It will be even warmer Sunday as the low starts pumping southerly winds into the state. No signs of any major cold air intrusions in the near future for Alabama.

WEATHERBRAINS: Busy weeks ahead for the crew at WeatherBrains. This week, Corey Anne Walton from the National Hurricane Center joins the panel from Miami. The Guest WeatherBrains will be storm chaser and photographer Dan Robinson. Did you know that icy roads kill more people each year than tornado, hurricanes, lightning and flooding combined? Dan will tell us about his efforts to raise awareness about this hazard. Get your chance to win by following us on Twitter @weatherbrains. Listen at www.WeatherBrains.com or subscribe at iTunes. It's free!

ON THIS DATE IN 1959: The Mother of all Lake Effect Snow Events: Bennetts Bridge NY received 51 inches of snow in 16 hours from a lake effect snowstorm generated as cold air swept across the relatively warm waters of Lake Ontario. Follow my weather history tweets on Twitter.com @ wxhistorian.
