* TORNADO WARNING FOR...
CENTRAL MONTGOMERY COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL ALABAMA...
NORTHERN BULLOCK COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST ALABAMA...
THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF UNION SPRINGS...
SOUTHERN MACON COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST ALABAMA...

* UNTIL 700 PM CST

* AT 611 PM CST...THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE INDICATED A SEVERE
THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO NEAR PINEDALE...OR 7
MILES SOUTHEAST OF MONTGOMERY...MOVING EAST AT 40 MPH.

* THE TORNADO WILL BE NEAR...
PIKE ROAD BY 620 PM CST...
8 MILES NORTH OF SHOPTON BY 635 PM CST...
HARDAWAY BY 640 PM CST...
FRANKLIN FIELD BY 645 PM CST...
UNION SPRINGS BY 655 PM CST...
9 MILES NORTH OF ABERFOIL BY 700 PM CST...

THIS INCLUDES INTERSTATE 85 EXIT NUMBERS 6 THROUGH 9.

THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM.. IF YOU ARE IN ITS PATH...PREPARE
IMMEDIATELY FOR DAMAGING WINDS...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL AND DEADLY CLOUD TO
GROUND LIGHTNING. THIS STORM HAS A HISTORY OF PRODUCING BASEBALL
SIZE HAIL AND STRUCTURAL DAMAGE.

IF IN MOBILE HOMES OR VEHICLES...EVACUATE THEM AND GET INSIDE A
STURDY SHELTER. IF NO SHELTER IS AVAILABLE...LIE FLAT IN THE NEAREST
DITCH OR OTHER LOW SPOT AND COVER YOUR HEAD WITH YOUR HANDS.

THE SAFEST PLACE TO BE DURING A TORNADO IS IN A BASEMENT. GET UNDER A
WORKBENCH OR OTHER PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE. IF NO BASEMENT IS
AVAILABLE...SEEK SHELTER ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF THE BUILDING IN AN
INTERIOR HALLWAY OR ROOM SUCH AS A CLOSET. USE BLANKETS OR PILLOWS TO
COVER YOUR BODY AND ALWAYS STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS.
