THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BIRMINGHAM HAS ISSUED A

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...
EAST CENTRAL BLOUNT COUNTY IN CENTRAL ALABAMA...
EXTREME NORTH CENTRAL ST. CLAIR COUNTY IN CENTRAL ALABAMA...
WESTERN ETOWAH COUNTY IN NORTHEAST ALABAMA...
THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF GADSDEN...

* UNTIL 215 PM CST

* AT 138 PM CST...THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE INDICATED A LINE OF
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING DESTRUCTIVE WINDS IN
EXCESS OF 70 MPH. THESE STORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE EXTENDING
FROM WALNUT GROVE TO ALTOONA...OR ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 7
MILES SOUTHWEST OF BOAZ TO 11 MILES EAST OF ONEONTA...AND MOVING
NORTHEAST AT 80 MPH.

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE NEAR...
GADSDEN MALL...GADSDEN...REECE CITY AND NOCCALULA FALLS BY 150 PM
CST...

THIS INCLUDES INTERSTATE 59 EXIT NUMBERS 181 THROUGH 188.

WINDS OF 70 TO 80 MPH WILL UPROOT TREES...DOWN POWER LINES AND CAUSE
DAMAGE TO HOMES AND STRUCTURES.

THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM. IF YOUR ARE IN ITS PATH...PREPARE
IMMEDAITELY FOR DAMAGING WINDS AND DEADLY CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.

A TORNADO WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. IF A TORNADO
IS SPOTTED... ACT QUICKLY AND MOVE TO A PLACE OF SAFETY IN A STURDY
STRUCTURE...SUCH AS A BASEMENT OR SMALL INTERIOR ROOM.
