THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BIRMINGHAM HAS ISSUED A

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...
SOUTHEASTERN CHEROKEE COUNTY IN NORTHEAST ALABAMA...

* UNTIL 400 PM CST

* AT 304 PM CST...THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE INDICATED
A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING DESTRUCTIVE
WINDS IN EXCESS OF 70 MPH. THESE STORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE
EXTENDING FROM 13 MILES NORTHEAST OF MOSHAT TO 8 MILES SOUTH OF
MOSHAT...OR ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 9 MILES EAST OF CEDAR BLUFF
TO PIEDMONT...AND MOVING EAST AT 50 MPH.

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE NEAR...
RURAL SOUTHEASTERN CHEROKEE COUNTY AT 320 PM CST

WINDS OF 70 TO 80 MPH WILL UPROOT TREES...DOWN POWER LINES AND CAUSE
DAMAGE TO HOMES AND STRUCTURES.

THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM. IF YOUR ARE IN ITS PATH...PREPARE
IMMEDAITELY FOR DAMAGING WINDS AND DEADLY CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.

THIS STORM HAS A HISTORY OF PRODUCING DESTRUCTIVE WINDS AND LARGE
DAMAGING HAIL. SEEK SHELTER NOW INSIDE A STURDY STRUCTURE AND STAY
AWAY FROM WINDOWS!
