...WIND CHILL ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING
TO 9 AM CST FRIDAY...

BITTERLY COLD AIR...ALONG WITH NORTHERLY WINDS IMPACTING THE
TENNESSEE VALLEY WILL PRODUCE LOW WIND CHILL VALUES TONIGHT THROUGH
FRIDAY MORNING. OVERNIGHT LOW TEMPERATURES SHOULD RANGE FROM 5 TO
10 DEGREES. THESE TEMPERATURES...ALONG WITH NORTHERLY WINDS
AROUND 10 MPH...WILL PRODUCE WIND CHILL READINGS RANGING FROM ZERO
TO -10 DEGREES. SOMEWHAT COLDER READINGS ARE POSSIBLE IN THE MORE
EXPOSED HIGHER TERRAIN LOCATIONS OF NORTHEAST ALABAMA AND SOUTHERN
MIDDLE TENNESSEE.

THIS WILL PRODUCE DANGEROUS CONDITIONS FOR THOSE EXPOSED TO THESE
COLD TEMPERATURES FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD.

A WIND CHILL ADVISORY MEANS THAT VERY COLD AIR AND SUSTAINED
WINDS WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE LOW WIND CHILLS. THIS COULD RESULT
IN FROST BITE OF EXPOSED SKIN...OR LEAD TO HYPOTHERMIA IF
PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN. IF YOU MUST VENTURE OUTDOORS...DRESS
IN LAYERS OF CLOTHING... MAKE SURE TO WEAR A HAT...ALONG WITH
GLOVES OR MITTENS. PROVIDE SHELTER FOR OUTDOOR PETS.
