A FREEZING RAIN ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST
TUESDAY.

A SHALLOW COLD AIRMASS CONTINUES FILTERING INTO THE REGION IN THE
WAKE OF A COLD FRONT PASSAGE. TEMPERATURES WILL DROP STEADILY
THROUGH THE 30S AND EVENTUALLY BELOW FREEZING ACROSS FAR NORTHWEST
ALABAMA AFTER MIDNIGHT. WEAK LIFT NORTH OF THIS FRONT WILL AID IN
THE PRODUCTION OF LIGHT RAIN AND DRIZZLE ACROSS THE ADVISORY
AREA OVERNIGHT. WITH TEMPERATURES AT OR SLIGHTLY BELOW FREEZING...
THE PRECIPITATION WILL BEGIN TO FREEZE ON CONTACT. THE MOST
SUSCEPTIBLE AREAS WILL BE ELEVATED SURFACES...BRIDGES...
OVERPASSES...AND SHELTERED VALLEY LOCATIONS. TEMPERATURES WILL
GRADUALLY WARM ABOVE FREEZING AFTER 9 AM TUESDAY MORNING.

A FREEZING RAIN ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF FREEZING RAIN OR
FREEZING DRIZZLE WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR
SLIPPERY ROADS. SLOW DOWN AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING ACROSS
THE AREA TONIGHT.
