THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF

NORTHERN AND CENTRAL ALABAMA
NORTHERN AND CENTRAL GEORGIA
UPSTATE SOUTH CAROLINA

EFFECTIVE THIS SATURDAY AFTERNOON FROM 450 PM UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT.

HAIL TO 1.5 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 70
MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.

THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 200
STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 35 MILES SOUTHWEST OF
ANNISTON ALABAMA TO 65 MILES NORTHEAST OF ROME GEORGIA. FOR A
