NORTHWESTERN LAWRENCE COUNTY IN NORTHWEST ALABAMA...

* AT 609 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
CONTINUED VERY HEAVY RAINFALL FROM A THUNDERSTORM NEAR KILLEN...
MOVING SOUTH AT 15 MPH.

* OTHER LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO TOWN
CREEK...NORTH COURTLAND...LEIGHTON AND KILLEN.

DOPPLER RADAR INDICATES THAT MORE THAN 3 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN
IN PORTIONS OF LAUDERDALE COUNTY SINCE 3 PM THIS AFTERNOON. ANOTHER
1 TO 2 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE THROUGH 9 PM ACROSS CENTRAL LAUDERDALE
AND NORTHERN LAWRENCE COUNTIES...ESPECIALLY NEAR CENTER STAR...
KILLEN...ELGIN...RED BANK...TOWN CREEK...AND EAST OF LEIGHTON.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...COUNTRY ROADS...AS WELL AS FARMLAND ALONG THE
