THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOBILE HAS ISSUED A

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...
CHOCTAW COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST ALABAMA...
THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF BUTLER...

* UNTIL 300 PM CDT

* AT 214 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING NICKEL SIZE
HAIL...AND DESTRUCTIVE WINDS IN EXCESS OF 70 MPH. THESE STORMS
WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 13 MILES EAST OF MERIDIAN
TO 15 MILES SOUTHEAST OF MERIDIAN TO 13 MILES WEST OF
QUITMAN...AND MOVING EAST AT 55 MPH.

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE NEAR...
YANTLEY...PUSHMATAHA...HALSELL AND CYRIL BY 230 PM CDT...
LISMAN...JACHIN...HINTON AND CROMWELL BY 235 PM CDT...
ROCK SPRINGS AND ROBJOHN BY 245 PM CDT...

A TORNADO WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. IF A TORNADO
IS SPOTTED... ACT QUICKLY AND MOVE TO A PLACE OF SAFETY IN A STURDY
STRUCTURE...SUCH AS A BASEMENT OR SMALL INTERIOR ROOM.

THIS STORM HAS A HISTORY OF PRODUCING WIDESPREAD WIND DAMAGE. SEEK
