THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A
TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF

CENTRAL AND NORTHERN ALABAMA
NORTHWESTERN GEORGIA
PART OF MIDDLE INTO EASTERN TENNESSEE

EFFECTIVE THIS WEDNESDAY MORNING FROM 405 AM UNTIL 1000 AM CST.

TORNADOES...HAIL TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND
GUSTS TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE
AREAS.

THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 70 STATUTE
MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 35 MILES WEST SOUTHWEST OF
FOR A COMPLETE DEPICTION OF THE WATCH SEE THE ASSOCIATED WATCH

DISCUSSION...BROKEN LINE OF INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS...INCLUDING SMALL
BOWING SEGMENTS AND SUPERCELLS...WILL CONTINUE EAST ACROSS WW THIS
MORNING. ISOLATED TORNADIC SUPERCELLS HAVE BEEN PERSISTENT AHEAD OF
THIS LINE...AND THIS TREND WILL ALSO LIKELY CONTINUE. ASIDE FROM
THREAT OF TORNADOES...DAMAGING WINDS AND ISOLATED LARGE HAIL WILL
ALSO ACCOMPANY STRONGER STORMS.
