...Warmer and More Humid...

CHANCE OF SHOWERS BY MIDWEEK: It does not look like a widespread
beneficial rain, but we should start getting some showers here in
Central Alabama starting later Tuesday and extending into the middle
part of the week. Part of this is due to a storm system moving across
the central part of the country. The low-pressure area will pass well
to our north, but it may be strong enough to pull a funnel system
into Alabama about Wednesday.

We do not expect any significant temperature change even if a front
were to move into this area. It shows signs of partially losing its
identity by the time it gets here. But we are through with the cool
temperatures in the 40s when we get up each morning. Instead,
tonight's lows should be in the mid 50s and even warmer in the 60s
for the rest of the week. High temperatures Sunday were in the upper
70s and lower 80s. Some of the warmer temperatures included 82 in
Dothan, 81 in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa and 80 in Montgomery and Mobile.

TROPICAL WEATHER: There is a large area of clouds and thunderstorms
over the NW Caribbean. It is due to a broad area of low pressure.
Conditions appear to be favorable for some slow development before
the system moves over the Yucatan Peninsula in a day or so. It will
continue to produce heavy rain over Central America for the next few
days. Otherwise, the Tropics are not showing much enthusiasm at all.

OUR WEATHER WORLD: 103 in Wink, Texas was the hottest in the USA
Saturday. The lowest was 21 at Land o Lakes, Wisconsin. Some action
in the nation's midsection today with a slight risk of severe weather
through much of Oklahoma, Kansas and Eastern Nebraska. Monday the
action will shift eastward into Missouri, Arkansas and extreme NE Texas.

MY TINY CORNER OF THE WORLD: I feel very guilty, because I have not
played a ballgame with Little Miss Molly in nearly a week and only
one walk around the track during the last week. Our grandkids are
doing most of that, but I can definitely feel that she misses me. I
will correct that this week. Life goes on.
