* FLASH FLOOD WATCH TO INCLUDE A PORTION OF SOUTHWEST ALABAMA...
INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS...CHOCTAW...CLARKE AND
WASHINGTON.
* THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING
* RADAR RAINFALL ESTIMATES INDICATE A LARGE AREA OF 2 TO 3 INCHES OF
RAIN OVER SOME WESTERN SECTIONS OF SOUTHWEST ALABAMA CONTINUES TO
SPREAD NORTHEASTWARD OVER CHOCTAW...WASHINGTON AND CLARKE
COUNTIES. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL UP TO ONE INCH PER HOUR WILL
BE LIKELY IN THE WATCH AREA FOR THE REMAINDER OF TONIGHT
CONTINUING INTO THE DAYLIGHT HOURS ON FRIDAY.
* DUE TO THE SLOW MOVEMENT OF A WEAK COLD FRONT ACROSS THE LOUISIANA
AND MISSISSIPPI TONIGHT AND FRIDAY...ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF
UP TO 3 TO 5 INCHES AREA WIDE WILL BE POSSIBLE IN THE WATCH AREA.
A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT RAPID FLOODING OF STREAMS...CREEKS
AND OTHER POOR DRAINAGE AREAS WILL BE POSSIBLE WITHIN THE WATCH AREA.
PEOPLE IN THE WATCH AREA SHOULD CHECK PREPAREDNESS

THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR
* A PORTION OF SOUTHEAST MISSISSIPPI...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING
AREAS...GEORGE...GREENE...PERRY...STONE AND WAYNE.
* THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING
* RADAR RAINFALL ESTIMATES INDICATE THAT A SWATH EXTENDING FROM SOUTH
CENTRAL STONE COUNTY TO SOUTH CENTRAL PERRY COUNTY HAS RECEIVED 5
TO 8 INCHES OF RAIN SINCE WEDNESDAY NIGHT WITH ADDITIONAL RAINFALL
EXPECTED THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF TONIGHT. A LARGE AREA OF 1.5 TO
2.0 INCHES OF RAIN WAS ALSO NOTED IN THE WATCH AREA. ADDITIONAL
RAINFALL UP TO ONE INCH PER HOUR WILL BE LIKELY IN THE WATCH FOR
THE REMAINDER OF TONIGHT CONTINUING INTO THE DAYLIGHT HOURS ON
FRIDAY.
