MADISON COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL ALABAMA
* UNTIL 930 PM CST
* AT 730 PM CST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
VERY HEAVY RAIN IN WESTERN MORGAN COUNTY AND SOUTHEASTERN LIMESTONE
COUNTY THAT WILL MOVE NORTHEAST OVER MADISON COUNTY. AROUND 2 INCHES
OF RAINFALL FELL EARLIER OVER MUCH OF CENTRAL MADISON COUNTY.
ADDITIONAL EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING
OF SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS... STREETS AND
UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.
* SOME LOCATIONS AFFECTED INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO...
HARVEST...HAZEL GREEN...HUNTSVILLE...MADISON...MERIDIANVILLE...
MOORES MILL...NEW MARKET AND REDSTONE ARSENAL.
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. MOVE
UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS
SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
