...Awesome Sunday...

GOOD MORNING! Get ready for a summery type Sunday with lots of sunshine
and very warm temperatures. The mercury will climb into the middle 80s at
most location today, about ten degrees above normal for April 23rd. Enjoy!

THROUGH TOMORROW: Expect another clear and calm night tonight, with lows
once falling to near 60 in most locations, with a few 50s in the normally
colder spots. There could be a little patchy fog in the river valleys
again Monday morning. Monday looks like a reasonable facsimile of today,
with lots of sunshine and temperatures again in the middle 80s. There could
even be a few spots peaking in the upper 80s.

NEXT WEATHER MAKER: Low pressure is over southeastern Colorado this
morning. This low will move across Kansas during the day on Monday,
accelerating into Missouri by evening. By Tuesday morning, it will be in
Indiana and a cold front will be approaching Alabama from the northwest.
Showers will break out during the day and showers and storms will move
across the area Tuesday night.

SEVERE WEATHER? A few severe thunderstorms are possible with this storm
system as it moves into Alabama. It does not look like a widespread
outbreak of severe weather will occur, but we will monitor the situation.

REST OF THE WEEK: Most of the showers and storms will be gone by Wednesday
morning, but a few could linger, especially over southeastern sections of
the area. High pressure will build in quickly, giving us nice weather for
Thursday and Friday. A few showers could break out Saturday as southerly
winds
increase moisture over the area. Then showers and storms will be likely
again by Sunday.

ON THIS DATE IN 1999: Utah commonly experiences strong winds in the spring
and fall, but the windy conditions on this date literally blew away state
records. A wind gust to 113 mph occurred at the Brigham City Airport during
the early morning hours. Twenty tractor-trailers were blown over on
Interstate 15, the state's main north-south road. Trucks were banned from
the highway.
