THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BIRMINGHAM HAS ISSUED A

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...
LEE COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL ALABAMA
THIS INCLUDES THE AREAS OF...OPELIKA...CHEWACLA STATE PARK...AUBURN

* UNTIL 830 PM CST

* AT 747 PM CST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING NICKEL SIZE
HAIL...AND DAMAGING WINDS 60 TO 75 MPH...WHICH CAN KNOCK DOWN LIMBS
AND POWER LINES...DAMAGE WEAK STRUCTURES...AND PUSH TRUCKS OFF THE
HIGHWAY. THESE STORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM
11 MILES NORTH OF TUSKEGEE TO 12 MILES NORTHEAST OF UNION
SPRINGS...AND MOVING EAST AT 55 MPH.

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE NEAR...
