...A Very Wet Time Ahead...

Little or no rain today, but we have a very wet weather story starting
tonight and lasting through Sunday and Monday. So much so that we may have
to deal with some flooding issues. There is a good chance that a good part
of Central Alabama could receive 2 to possibly 4 inches of rain before the
storm system moves off to the NE.

Could be a scattering of light rain this afternoon. The rain will be more
steady later tonight. Sunday will be the most uncomfortable day of all with
widespread rain, no sunshine and high temperatures only in the lower 50s.
Monday could be the stormiest day as we will also have some thunderstorms
and the rain will be heavy at times. There is a slight risk that a few of
the storms on Monday could become severe, but that is not sealed in stone at
this time.

After a strong low pressure area moves from North Texas and passes near or
north of our area, windy and cooler conditions can be expected Tuesday with
clearing skies. Wednesday looks like mostly sunshine with cool temperatures.
We do not see any prospect of temperatures in the 80s in the near future.

AROUND THE COUNTRY: A hot 90 degrees Friday afternoon at Laredo and
McAllen, Texas was the hottest in the country. This was 100 degrees warmer
than the 10 below Friday morning in Embarrass, Minnesota...Phoenix, which
had gone 143 days without a drop of rain until a few days ago, has now been
blessed with 1.44 inches...to the north, Flagstaff in Northern Arizona had
gone most of the winter with only 1.6 inches of snow. Recent storms have
swelled their total to 33 inches, but that is still 54 inches short of
normal.

MY TINY CORNER OF THE WORLD: Sure was nice to get Little Miss Molly home
from the PBS (Puppy Beauty Shop) around 4 yesterday. We felt unprotected as
we had no one to alert us from all those tigers, rhinos, grizzly bears and
elephants coming out of the hedgerow. Took her on a nice walk at nightfall.
I got jerked around so hard that my teeth rattled. It seems that Molly
jumped the little community rabbit again. She reversed direction and I
almost lost the leash. I would never have caught her. Life goes on.
