VoIP or VOICE OVER INTERNET PROTOCOL
What is it? Can I really cut my phone bills in half?
http://www.SaveOnVoIP.com

VoIP is the new technology that is quickly revolutionizing the phone industry. VoIP, or Voice over Internet Protocol, allows you to make telephone calls using a broadband Internet connection instead of a regular or analog phone line. VoIP can save you hundreds of dollars off your annual phone bill.

Now there is a website to help consumers understand this new technology.
SaveOnVoIP.com eliminates any confusion with a comparison chart and objective opinions of the leading providers as well as a thorough "Frequently Asked Questions" page that explains VoIP. There are well over 100 providers of VoIP, but some companies provide superior customer support, more dependable service and are financially stable.

Learn about this new technology and how to save hundreds of dollars!

GREETINGS FROM STARKVILLE: I am writing the afternoon forecast package today from the Southeast Severe Storms Symposium on the campus of Mississippi State University. I am joined by J.B. Elliott, John Oldshue, and Jason Simpson from our team. Today is the broadcasters workshop; tomorrow will focus on a variety of meteorological topics. I am especially interested in a paper prepared by on “Dixie Alley”, which will reveal that we have more strong/violent tornadoes per square mile than the traditional “tornado alley” in the plains. The weather here in Starkville is delightful; cool and dry with a deep blue late winter sky.

This is the fifth symposium put on by our friends here at Mississippi State, and we have enjoyed all of them!

A CHILLY NIGHT AHEAD: With a clear sky, temperatures will drop quickly tonight across Alabama. Most communities will be very close to freezing early tomorrow, but the colder valleys will be in the 25 to 29 degree range by daybreak.

THE WEEKEND: Dry weather continues through Sunday with a slow warming trend. Look for low 60s tomorrow, and mid 60s on Sunday with a good supply of sunshine both days.
Some clouds will slip in here Sunday night and Monday thanks to a passing disturbance, but the chance of significant rain looks very small at this point. Tuesday and Wednesday of next week should feature lots of sunshine with mild afternoon temperatures.

THE LONG RANGE: Some hints of a possible severe weather setup for parts of the mid-south around March 9 (Thursday of next week), but the greatest risk could be just west of Alabama. We have to remember this is the spring tornado season, and stormy times are to be expected.
There are also some hints of a significant late season cold snap around the middle of the month. Beware the Ides of March!

EXTREMES: Coldest spot in the nation this morning was Raco, Michigan with 14 degrees below zero. In contrast, the warmest place yesterday afternoon was Laredo, Texas with a summer-like 97.

WARMEST DAY SO FAR: Yesterday was the warmest day so far this year in Alabama. Both Mobile and Pensacola soared to 82 degrees, a new record high for both cities. Evergreen reported 81, while Tuscaloosa reached 80. Birmingham’s high of 77 was 14 degrees above normal, and not far away from a record high.

MY LITTLE CORNER: J.B. will return on Monday with more adventures of his dog, Miss Molly. J.B. and I were shocked this morning when the annual doughnut table at the Southeast Severe Storms Symposium was gone. Thanks to Mike Brown on the MSU faculty for bringing in a few doughnuts for us. Most years J.B. sucks down doughnuts faster than cars go around the track at Talladega. Tonight, we will enjoy some of the best “home cooking” in the world at Pap’s Place in Ackerman, MS!
