VoIP or VOICE OVER INTERNET PROTOCOL
What is it? Can I really cut my phone bills in half?
http://www.SaveOnVoIP.com
VoIP is the new technology that is quickly revolutionizing the phone
industry. VoIP, or Voice over Internet Protocol, allows you to make
telephone calls using a broadband Internet connection instead of a regular
or analog phone line. VoIP can save you hundreds of dollars off your annual
phone bill.
Now there is a website to help consumers understand this new technology.
SaveOnVoIP.com eliminates any confusion with a comparison chart and
objective opinions of the leading providers as well as a thorough
"Frequently Asked Questions" page that explains VoIP. There are well over
100 providers of VoIP, but some companies provide superior customer support,
more dependable service and are financially stable.
Learn about this new technology and how to save hundreds of dollars!

COOLING OFF PERIOD: No more of those mid and upper 70s like we had
yesterday for a while. Instead, high temperatures over the next four days or
so will hang close to the 60-degree mark. That is because we will have two
cold fronts moving through here. The first one was moving across the area
this afternoon. The next one will arrive late Sunday night or early Monday
morning.
No bitter cold behind either front, although temperatures will drop
to near freezing early Saturday morning. It will be clearing tonight and
mostly sunshine for Friday and Saturday. Clouds will increase late Sunday
and there may be a slight chance of light rain Sunday night and early
Monday. Unless the weather picture changes, rainfall amounts will be sparse.
MARCH MADNESS: Not basketball, mind you, but the normal behavior of
March weather in Alabama. It can have wide mood swings. It can also be quite
stormy. March is a transition month when Old Man Winter is being pushed out
and Young Lady Spring is trying to move in. Who can forget the Blizzard of
'93 which dumped record snowfall on the state. Right behind that blizzard
was a low of 2 above zero on March 14 at Birmingham Airport. We have had
temperatures as high as 90 as early as March 21 in past history. March is
also our wettest month of the year, if it behaves correctly. We normally get
about 6.10 inches, but in 1980 we got 15.80 inches. March and April combined
are normally our most active for severe weather also.
THE SWINGING THERMOMETER: It happened at Wichita Falls, Texas with
a blistering 98 degrees yesterday afternoon. Tonight's low will be 42, which
is a 56-degree plunge in temperature. Grass fires are still a major problem
in North Texas and Oklahoma.
OUR THURSDAY VISITS: Let's go to Yellowstone National Park where it
should be very pretty now. It was 7 below zero this morning at Old Faithful
with 30 inches of snow on the ground. There is 43 inches at Yellowstone
Lake...far to the south, Hannagan Meadow, in the White Mountains of Eastern
Arizona, got 3 inches of new snow. Take it from me, that is a beautiful
location at an elevation of 9,160 feet...drop down into the lower desert and
Phoenix was cheated out of rain again yesterday, so this is the 135th day in
a row with not a drop...16 below zero at Champion, Michigan was the lower 48
cold spot this morning...a Winter Storm Warning continues for New York City.
They will get 4 to 8 inches of snow this afternoon and tonight.
MY TINY CORNER OF THE WORLD: Sure will miss Little Miss Molly
while I am in Starkville for the SE Severe Storms Symposium at Mississippi
State University...but you can bet when I get home Saturday night and the
little girl hears the garage door open, she will immediately jump up on the
back of the couch, go to the far end where she can see the garage door and
bubble all over when she sees me. Even if she is sound asleep, she reacts
instantly to us coming home, jumping all over the place. I will give her a
treat, then have a ballgame with her, love her a lot and tuck her away in
bed. Meanwhile, two of our grandkids will be here to keep her company...I
know I shouldn't be that attached (addicted is a better word) to that little
doggie, but I just can't help myself. Life goes on.
