.A WINTER STORM WILL PRODUCE ACCUMULATING SNOW ACROSS MUCH OF THE
TENNESSEE VALLEY OVERNIGHT. THE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM RESPONSIBLE
WILL TRACK ACROSS SOUTH ALABAMA INTO CENTRAL GEORGIA THROUGH
SATURDAY MORNING. NORTHWEST WINDS BEHIND THE SYSTEM WILL POUR
MUCH COLDER AIR INTO THE REGION OVER THE WEEKEND.

SNOW WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF FRANKLIN
COUNTY...AND CHANGE TO ALL SNOW BY MIDNIGHT ACROSS ALL OF THE WARNED
AREA. SNOW MAY FALL AT A RATE OF ONE QUARTER TO ONE HALF INCH PER
HOUR FOR A FEW HOURS...WITH VISIBILITY REDUCED DOWN TO 3/4 OF A
MILE AT TIMES. TOTAL SNOW AMOUNTS BY 10 AM SATURDAY WILL RANGE
FROM 2 TO 4 INCHES WITH HIGHER AMOUNTS AROUND 5 INCHES OVER HIGHER
ELEVATIONS. MUCH OF THIS WILL REMAIN ON GRASSY AREAS AS TEMPERATURES
HOVER AT OR JUST ABOVE 32 DEGREES.

THIS WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS HEAVY SNOWFALL IS IMMINENT.
EXPECT TRAVEL CONDITIONS TO WORSEN QUICKLY.

TOTAL SNOW AMOUNTS...ALL WILL BE MAINLY ON GRASSY AREAS...WILL
RANGE FROM 1/2 TO 1 INCH SOUTH OF THE TENNESSEE RIVER AND 1 TO 2
INCHES NORTH OF THE TENNESSEE RIVER. AN ISOLATED 3 INCH AMOUNT IS
NOT OUT OF THE QUESTION IN THE HIGHEST ELEVATIONS.

A SNOW ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW WILL CAUSE TRAVEL
DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW COVERED ROADS AND LIMITED
VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.
