....WINTER WEATHER EXPECTED OVER NORTHERN PORTIONS OF CENTRAL
ALABAMA ON SATURDAY...

.PRECIPITATION WILL SPREAD EASTWARD FROM ARKANSAS ACROSS NORTHERN
MISSISSIPPI TO NORTHWEST ALABAMA BY EARLY SATURDAY MORNING...AND
THE PRECIPITATION WILL PERSIST OVER THE AREA ON SATURDAY. THE
HEAVIEST PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED BETWEEN 6 AM AND NOON.

TEMPERATURES WILL BE COLD ENOUGH FOR THE PRECIPITATION TO BE A
MIXTURE OF RAIN...FREEZING RAIN...AND SLEET. THE BEST CHANCE OF
ANY ACCUMULATIONS OF ICE WILL BE ALONG AND NORTH OF A LINE FROM
SULLIGENT TO JASPER...TO ONEONTA...TO ANNISTON...AND HEFLIN. SOME
LOCATIONS COULD SEE ICE ACCUMULATIONS UP TO ONE- QUARTER OF AN
INCH...ESPECIALLY ON RAISED SURFACES SUCH AS BRIDGES...TREES...
AND POWER LINES.

THE PRECIPITATION WILL TAPER OFF SATURDAY AFTERNOON...ENDING AS
EITHER LIGHT FREEZING DRIZZLE OR SNOW FLURRIES.

NOON...WHERE ICE ACCUMULATIONS MAY APPROACH ONE-QUARTER OF AN

JASPER. MARION AND WINSTON COUNTIES APPEAR TO BE PARTICULARLY
VULNERABLE TO SIGNIFICANT ICE ACCUMULATIONS WITH THIS STORM
