...More Unsettled Weather...

The weather just won't stay the same and here we go with some more
significant changes over the next several days including a sharp change to
colder over the weekend.

But first things first. After some of this fog and lower clouds lift later
this morning, we will have a partly sunny day. Much of the day should be
without showers, but some scattered ones will start late today. Showers and
some thunderstorms should increase tonight.

On the old backyard thermometer you will see a real change Saturday as
temperatures start going south. Early morning lows should be in the 30s and
afternoon highs will do good to get into the 40s. There will be some
scattered lingering light rain and some of that could be in the form of snow
flurries before all of the precipitation moves out late Saturday morning.

Sunday should be dry with mostly sunshine with lows in the mid 20s. In the
colder valleys, it could be closer to 20.
Some more changes early next week. There are some indications that a
significant snow may come to upper parts of the south on Monday. We do not
think this will include Alabama. Instead, we should have mostly showers on
Monday maybe changing over to snow flurries Monday night, so hang on for a
wild ride.

ROAMING: Just like mid-summer in South Texas yesterday as the temperature
climbed to a hot 94 at Harlingen...the coldest in Alaska in the last 24
hours was 53 below zero at Nikolai, Noatak, and Point Lay.

MY TINY CORNER OF THE WORLD: Going to spend a whole lot of time today with
my little 9-pound stick-tight pal otherwise known as Little Miss Molly. Even
her initials, LMM, have become famous. We sure did have some fun yesterday
with a large number of ballgames and kick ball. Several pleasant walks
around the walking track. It was ideal walking weather...we have now had
Molly over 3 years and I am going to figure up approximately how far she and
I have walked. I feel sure, if we straightened out the mileage, we would be
in Chicago by now. Every single mile has been a delight. Life goes on.
