THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A
TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF

SOUTHEASTERN ALABAMA
FLORIDA PANHANDLE
SOUTHWESTERN GEORGIA
COASTAL WATERS

EFFECTIVE THIS MONDAY MORNING AND AFTERNOON FROM 810 AM UNTIL 400
PM EST.

...THIS IS A PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION...

DESTRUCTIVE TORNADOES...LARGE HAIL TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER...
THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE
POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.

THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 70 STATUTE MILES
NORTH AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 30 MILES SOUTH SOUTHWEST OF
EVERGREEN ALABAMA TO 15 MILES EAST NORTHEAST OF VALDOSTA GEORGIA.

DISCUSSION...CLUSTER OF THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO INTENSIFY
WITHIN A MODERATELY UNSTABLE AIR MASS ALONG AND SOUTH OF COASTAL
FRONT EXTENDING FROM SERN AL ACROSS FAR SRN GA THIS MORNING. SHEAR
IS ALREADY SUFFICIENT FOR SUPERCELLS WITH EFFECTIVE BULK SHEAR OF
40-50 KT. TORNADO THREAT WILL BECOME MORE SIGNIFICANT INTO THE
MID/LATE MORNING DUE TO DIURNAL HEATING AND LIKELIHOOD OF STORMS
MOVING ALONG E-W ORIENTED SURFACE FRONT. A FEW LONG-LIVED TORNADIC
SUPERCELLS MAY OCCUR.

AVIATION...TORNADOES AND A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL
SURFACE AND ALOFT TO 2 INCHES. EXTREME TURBULENCE AND SURFACE WIND
GUSTS TO 60 KNOTS. A FEW CUMULONIMBI WITH MAXIMUM TOPS TO 500.
