THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOBILE HAS ISSUED A

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...

COVINGTON COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL ALABAMA

* UNTIL 1130 AM CST

* AT 1056 AM CST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING NICKEL SIZE
HAIL...AND DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. THESE STORMS WERE
LOCATED ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 12 MILES NORTH OF ANDALUSIA TO
7 MILES SOUTH OF ANDALUSIA TO 15 MILES SOUTHWEST OF ANDALUSIA TO
16 MILES SOUTHEAST OF BREWTON...AND MOVING EAST AT 40 MPH.

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE NEAR...
CLEARVIEW BY 1105 AM CST
WING AND SANFORD BY 1110 AM CST
ONYCHA AND EODA BY 1115 AM CST
WATKINS BRIDGE AND OPP BY 1120 AM CST

THESE STORMS HAVE A HISTORY OF PRODUCING LARGE HAIL AND DAMGINING
WINDS AND ISOLATED TORNADOES. A TORNADO WARNING MAY BE NECESSARY
BEFORE NOON.

A TORNADO WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. IF A TORNADO
IS SPOTTED... ACT QUICKLY AND MOVE TO A PLACE OF SAFETY IN A STURDY
STRUCTURE...SUCH AS A BASEMENT OR SMALL INTERIOR ROOM.

THESE ARE DANGEROUS STORMS. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH...PREPARE FOR
DAMAGING WINDS...LARGE HAIL...AND DEADLY CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.
TAKE COVER IN A STURDY SHELTER UNTIL THESE STORMS HAVE PASSED.
