...Strong Storms Possible...

GOOD MORNING: This forecast will have a lot of twists and turns. Already,
skies are cloudy across the area this morning as warm air is moving into the
area. Some areas noticed a little sleet during the overnight, which always
leads to a little excitement. Some areas that have not seen precip yet this
morning may see it start out as sleet, but it won't cause any problems.

TODAY/SUNDAY: The warm front that moved through the area will camp out just
to our north for the next couple of days. A couple of waves will ripple
along the front, creating better opportunities for precipitation. There
could be enough instability for a few storms thrown in, and the proximity of
an upper level jet could give some of them the chance to be strong to severe
to the north of the area today. Tonight will see a continued chance of
showers, as will Sunday, with the frontal system in the area. Increasing
instability means a better chance of severe weather tomorrow afternoon and
evening. The cold front will get its act together and push through the area
early on Monday.

COLD WEATHER AHEAD: Rain should move out of the area Monday morning and the
chill down will begin. Temperatures will likely be falling during the
afternoon hours, reaching the upper 30s around dark. Readings may struggle
to reach the 40 degree mark Tuesday and Wednesday. We will see morning lows
well down into the 20s Tuesday and Wednesday morning. In fact, a few
locations may see teens Wednesday morning. The Thursday is a big question
mark. There could be a low in the Gulf that would cause a cold rain, or
possibly a little freezing rain. Stay tuned.

LOOKING BACK ON THE 05 HURRICANE SEASON: Tuesday marked the official end of
the 2005 North Atlantic Hurricane Season. Residents along the Gulf Coast
held special events celebrating the end of the busy season. But in keeping
with the hyper-activity, the season is still not over. Hurricane Epsilon
should become extratropical.
