ABC 33/40 E-Forecast - Special Note

This is a special note to E-Forecast subscribers concerning a
service for evacuees in Alabama:

ABC 33/40 is now carrying WWL-TV (Channel 4) in New Orleans LIVE on
our digital channels 33.2 and 40.2. This is for the thousands of evacuees
who are in Alabama; allowing them to watch local news coverage of this
horrible tragedy from a home town station. The WWL-TV feed from ABC 33/40 is
being carried on Bright House Cable in Birmingham on Channel 632, and
Comcast Cable in Tuscaloosa on Channel 99. The signal, of course, can be
received right off the air if you have a digital TV tuner on 33.2 or 40.2

Many shelters across central Alabama have put up large screen TV
sets with digital tuners in place that are picking up our WWL-TV simulcast
directly off the air on either 33.2 or 40.2.

You can also watch the WWL-TV feed over the Internet:

Of course, evacuees here don't have laptop computers or high speed
internet connections in most cases, so our digital WWL-TV simulcast is their
lifeline to news from home they need to know.
