* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...
LAWRENCE COUNTY IN NORTHWEST ALABAMA

* UNTIL 715 PM CDT

* AT 647 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING PENNY SIZE HAIL...AND
DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. THIS STORM WAS LOCATED 6 MILES
SOUTH OF SPEAKE...AND MOVING EAST AT 15 MPH.

* LOCATIONS IN OR NEAR THE PATH INCLUDE...
SPEAKE.
EASTERN SECTIONS OF BANKHEAD NATIONAL FOREST.

IN ADDITION TO LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS...CONTINUOUS CLOUD TO
GROUND LIGHTNING IS OCCURRING WITH THIS STORM. MOVE INDOORS
IMMEDIATELY! LIGHTNING IS ONE OF NATURES NUMBER ONE KILLERS.
