THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* NORTH CENTRAL ALABAMA...SOUTHERN MIDDLE TENNESSEE...NORTHEAST
ALABAMA AND NORTHWEST ALABAMA

* UNTIL SUNDAY AFTERNOON

* THE REMAINS OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION ARLENE WILL CONTINUE MOVING
NORTHWARD AND SLOWLY WEAKEN OVERNIGHT. ITS CENTER OF CIRCULATION
SHOULD BE LOCATED OVER NORTHWEST ALABAMA BY 7 AM SUNDAY MORNING.
THE SYSTEM WILL CONTINUE MOVING NORTHWARD ACROSS TENNESSEE AND
REACH THE OHIO RIVER VALLEY BY SUNDAY EVENING. PERIODS OF
RAIN...AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO AFFECT ALL OF
NORTHERN ALABAMA AND SOUTHERN MIDDLE TENNESSEE OVERNIGHT AND
THROUGH THE MORNING SUNDAY.

* RAINFALL MAY BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES INTO EARLY SUNDAY MORNING.
THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL IS EXPECTED ACROSS AREAS WEST OF
INTERSTATE 65...WHERE RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 3 INCHES WILL BE
POSSIBLE. ELSEWHERE...TOTAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES
CAN BE EXPECTED...WITH SOME ISOLATED HIGHER AMOUNTS.

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT FLOODING IS POSSIBLE BUT NOT IMMINENT IN
THE WATCH AREA. PEOPLE IN THE WATCH AREA ARE ADVISED TO CHECK
PREPAREDNESS REQUIREMENTS...KEEP INFORMED...AND BE READY FOR
QUICK ACTION IF FLOODING THREATENS.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
