...Memorial Day Probably Wet...

Not a great deal of confidence in our forecast for Saturday and Sunday, but the forecast for Memorial Day is looking more and more like it will be wet. Maybe not an all day rain, but it should be our best day for showers and thunderstorms over the next several days. A few of those could be strong.
Look for dry weather today. Some showers and possibly a thunderstorm will occur mostly on Saturday morning as a cool front moves through the area.

That front will stall south of Montgomery Saturday and start back northward as a warm front. This will bring us some more showers and storms on Sunday, mostly during the afternoon and night. By Monday, a low pressure system will be approaching the area from the west enhancing the showers and storms.

WEEKEND AT THE BEACH: Only a few showers today. Scattered showers and maybe a thunderstorm Saturday. The best chance will be Sunday and Monday. High temperatures over the weekend and through Monday and Tuesday should be between 82 and 85. The water temperature along the coast is in the lower 80s.

ROAMING FAR AND WIDE: 114 in Death Valley was yesterday’s hottest. They should have 111 today...it will be below freezing this morning in the Northern Rockies...in Boston, it will be a bit warmer today at 58 and even warmer on Saturday with 72...this May has been one of the coldest on record in Massachusetts...just about all sunshine today and Saturday in Baghdad with highs near 105. In Afghanistan dry weather this weekend with highs near 75 in Kabul.

MY TINY CORNER OF THE WORLD: Subbing for James Spann this morning, so I will throw in a brief Molly episode. We did a lot of walking yesterday and last evening, but most of the walks were uneventful. Sure is a lot of varmints out already. We met at least 5 unusually long earthworms strolling casually down the walk. Molly sure did want to gobble them up, but I saved their lives. Looking for more play time with the little girl today. She treasures it. Life goes on.
