COUNTIES CONTINUES UNTIL 4 AM THURSDAY MORNING...
AT 1145 PM CDT...WEATHER RADAR INDICATED THE RAINFALL WAS
DIMINISHING ACROSS NORTHWEST ALABAMA. THERE WILL STILL BE THE
CHANCE OF SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER NORTHWEST ALABAMA
BUT THE FLOOD THREAT HAS ENDED FOR THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. THUS...THE
FLOOD WATCH WILL BE ALLOWED TO EXPIRE FOR NORTHWEST ALABAMA AT
MIDNIGHT.
THE FLOOD WATCH STILL CONTINUES FOR NORTH CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST
ALABAMA AND PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN MIDDLE TENNESSEE UNTIL 4 AM
THURSDAY MORNING. THIS AREA STILL HAS THE CHANCE OF MORE HEAVY RAIN
OVERNIGHT.
ON THURSDAY THE UPPER LEVEL STORM SYSTEM WILL MOVE ACROSS NORTHERN
ALABAMA WITH ANOTHER CHANCE OF MORE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS...
ESPECIALLY DURING THE AFTERNOON. RAINFALL AMOUNTS COULD BE HEAVY IN
STRONGER STORMS. NORTHWEST ALABAMA WILL HAVE THE BEST CHANCE OF MORE
LOCALIZED FLOODING ON THURSDAY SINCE 3 TO 4 INCHES OF RAIN FELL
WEDNESDAY.
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS. IF FLOODING IS OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.MOVE TO
HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO
FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
