WATCH FOR FLASH FLOODING FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES UNTIL NOON CST
TODAY ...

IN SOUTHWEST ALABAMA...ESCAMBIA...COVINGTON...WASHINGTON...CONECUH...
MONROE...BUTLER...CLARKE...CRENSHAW...WILCOX...CHOCTAW...BALDWIN AND
MOBILE COUNTIES.

IN SOUTHEAST MISSISSIPPI...GEORGE...STONE...PERRY...GREENE AND WAYNE
COUNTIES.

IN NORTHWEST FLORIDA...OKALOOSA...ESCAMBIA AND SANTA ROSA COUNTIES.

A STALLED FRONTAL BOUNDARY WILL REMAIN ACROSS THE NORTHERN SECTIONS
OF ALABAMA TODAY. SOUTH OF THE FRONT PERIODS OF HEAVY TO VERY HEAVY
RAIN WILL CONTINUE. THE HEAVY RAIN WILL COME TO AN END LATE THIS
MORNING OVER INLAND SOUTHEAST MISSISSIPPI...AND EARLY AFTERNOON OVER
SOUTHWEST ALABAMA...HEAVY RAIN ENDING BY SUNSET OVER THE EASTERN
SECTIONS OF THE FLORIDA PANHANDLE AND ADJACENT ALABAMA COUNTIES.

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADARS HAVE ESTIMATED UPWARDS OF 10 INCHES
OF RAIN HAS FELL SINCE 6 AM THURSDAY FROM SOUTHERN BALDWIN COUNTY
EAST ACROSS THE SOUTHERN HALF OF THE FLORIDA PANHANDLE. 4 TO 5 INCH
ESTIMATES WERE COMMON ELSEWHERE.

A FEW RAINFALL AMOUNTS AS OF 430 AM...THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE
OFFICE IN MOBILE HAS RECEIVED 5.24 INCHES SINCE 6 AM THURSDAY WITH
RAIN STILL FALLING. PENSACOLA REGIONAL AIRPORT HAS MEASURED 10.59
SINCE 6 AM YESTERDAY WITH MORE HEAVY RAIN EXPECTED THIS MORNING. AN
ADDITIONAL 2 INCHES OR MORE REMAIN POSSIBLE THIS MORNING OVER THE
WATCH AREA.

PEOPLE IN THE WATCH AREA SHOULD CONTINUE TO BE AWARE OF THE
POSSIBILITY FOR ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINFALL...AVOID LOW LYING AREAS,
AND BE CAREFUL WHEN APPROACHING HIGHWAY DIPS AND UNDERPASSES.

REMEMBER...MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES ATTEMPTING TO
CROSS FLOODED AREAS. RAPIDLY RISING WATER CAN EASILY CARRY A VEHICLE
AND ITS OCCUPANTS DOWN STREAM.

CHECK YOUR PREPAREDNESS REQUIREMENTS AND BE READY TO ACT IMMEDIATELY
IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED OR A FLASH FLOOD WARNING IS ISSUED.
