THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOBILE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...

BALDWIN COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST ALABAMA
MOBILE COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST ALABAMA

* UNTIL 945 AM CDT

* AT 810 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
VERY HEAVY RAIN FROM THUNDERSTORMS ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM
GATESWOOD TO DEES...OR ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 15 MILES
SOUTHEAST OF BAY MINETTE TO 13 MILES EAST OF ESCATAWPA. THE STORMS
PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN WERE NEARLY STATIONARY.

RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 3 INCHES IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME ARE
LIKELY OVER THE WARNED AREA...WITH LOCALIZED AMOUNTS OF 3 TO 4
INCHES OVER CENTRAL PORTIONS OF MOBILE COUNTY.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES. ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY
ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS...STREAMS AND OTHER LOW
LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLOODING.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
