THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BIRMINGHAM HAS ISSUED A

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...
PERRY COUNTY IN CENTRAL ALABAMA
THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF MARION

* UNTIL 700 PM CST

* AT 608 PM CST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING DESTRUCTIVE WINDS
IN EXCESS OF 70 MPH. THESE STORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE
EXTENDING FROM 14 MILES NORTHWEST OF HEIBERGER TO 24 MILES
SOUTHWEST OF MARION...OR ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 13 MILES
NORTHEAST OF GREENSBORO TO 9 MILES EAST OF DEMOPOLIS...AND MOVING
SOUTHEAST AT 45 MPH.

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE NEAR...
HEIBERGER BY 625 PM CST
MARION BY 630 PM CST

THIS STORM HAS A HISTORY OF PRODUCING WIDESPREAD WIND DAMAGE ACROSS
SUMTER COUNTY. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK
