THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BIRMINGHAM HAS ISSUED A

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...
SUMTER COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL ALABAMA
THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF...YORK...LIVINGSTON

* UNTIL 600 PM CST

* AT 513 PM CST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING DESTRUCTIVE WINDS
IN EXCESS OF 70 MPH. THESE STORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE
EXTENDING FROM 29 MILES NORTHWEST OF LIVINGSTON TO 15 MILES
SOUTHWEST OF YORK...OR ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 27 MILES
SOUTHWEST OF ALICEVILLE TO 15 MILES SOUTHWEST OF YORK...AND MOVING
EAST AT 60 MPH.

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE NEAR...
YORK BY 525 PM CST
LIVINGSTON AND BELLAMY BY 535 PM CST

THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM. IF YOU ARE IN ITS PATH...PREPARE
IMMEDIATELY FOR DAMAGING WINDS...AND DEADLY CLOUD TO GROUND
LIGHTNING. PEOPLE OUTSIDE SHOULD MOVE TO A SHELTER...PREFERABLY
INSIDE A STRONG BUILDING BUT AWAY FROM WINDOWS.
