...Warm Up Continues...

GOOD MORNING! Greetings from Nashville and the Opryland Hotel.
Every time that I have been here, I have been amazed. It truly is its own
city and is an impressive resort. And the Christmas lights are beautiful!

TSUNAMI TRAGEDY: We have been witness this week to one of the
biggest natural disasters in World history. As I write this, I am reading
reports that the death toll may rise to over 100,000 as a result of disease
and starvation. Over 60,000 people have already died as a direct result of
the tidal waves. My heart and prayers go out to the people of that region of
the world.

OUR WEATHER: High pressure is moving toward the Atlantic this
morning, and already winds are southerly over the region in response.
Moisture levels are already beginning a quick ramp up. We have seen our
last nights in the 30s for awhile. Temps will continue above normal for the
next seven days. By tomorrow readings will be some ten degrees above
normal, and we will see highs 3-5 degrees higher on Friday.
Clouds will be on the increase today as those moisture levels rise. In
fact, some low clouds and fog have already formed early this morning over
southern sections. More low clouds and fog will form overnight tonight, and
clouds will be pretty thick on Thursday. An approaching cold front will
give us a chance of showers Friday and Saturday, but I think the chance will
be slight. Those rain chances will increase a bit on Sunday. There will be
a continued threat of showers for much of the next week until a front comes
through late in the week.

ON THIS DATE IN 2002: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had never won a game
when the temperature at kickoff was less than 40 degrees. Not one. They
were 0-21 going into their Sunday night game against the Chicago Bears at
Champaign, Illinois. The Bucs prevailed, 15-0, to win the number two seed
in the NFC. The Bucs would go to defeat the 49ers and then the Atlanta
Falcons for the right to play in Super Bowl XXXVII.
