...Some Rain At Times...

A complex forecast is ahead for Alabama through the first half of next week.
We will mention the chance of light rain this morning, but it looks like
many places will be dry this afternoon and tonight as the first disturbance
weakens and passes well to the north of the state. For tonight's high school
football games, just an outside risk of a shower with temperatures in the
60s.

Tomorrow, a shower is possible during the day, but it looks like the most
widespread rain will come tomorrow night into Sunday. A few thunderstorms
could be involved as well as the air becomes more unstable and a surface
front slips into north Alabama.

Early next week, a few widely scattered showers are possible on Monday, but
it looks like the big round of rain and storms will come Tuesday afternoon
and Tuesday night as a major storm moves out of the southern plains. Some of
the model data suggests a severe weather threat is possible for Alabama, so
we will keep a close eye on the situation.

Then, the rain should end early Wednesday, with dry and cool weather for
Thanksgiving Day. At this time we expect highs in the 50s, and early morning
readings in the 30s next Thursday.

IRON BOWL: The sky will be mostly cloudy in Tuscaloosa for tomorrow's
Auburn-Alabama game, which kicks off at 2:30. A shower is possible during
the game, but we believe the most widespread rain will hold off until
tomorrow night, after the game is over. Temperatures will drop from near 70
at kickoff into the mid 60s by the fourth quarter.

TEXAS TWISTERS: Three tornadoes touched down in the Houston area on
Wednesday; two were rated F0, and one was an F1.
