OF MOBILE AND BALDWIN COUNTIES IN SOUTHWESTERN ALABAMA.

A TROPICAL STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR MOBILE AND BALDWIN
COUNTIES OF SOUTHWESTERN ALABAMA.

AT 10 PM CDT...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM MATTHEW WAS LOCATED NEAR
LATITUDE 27.7 NORTH...LONGITUDE 91.3 WEST OR ABOUT 260 MILES
SOUTHWEST OF DAUPHIN ISLAND.
MATTHEW IS MOVING GENERALLY TOWARD THE NORTH NORTH-NORTHEAST AROUND
9 MPH. ON THIS TRACK...THE CENTER OF THE TROPICAL STORM WILL REACH
THE COAST WITHIN THE WARNING AREA SUNDAY MORNING.
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 40 MPH...WITH HIGHER GUSTS. LITTLE
CHANGE IN STRENGTH IS EXPECTED BEFORE LANDFALL.

NO EVACUATION ORDERS OR RECOMMENDATIONS HAVE BEEN ISSUED.
...STORM SURGE FLOOD AND STORM TIDE IMPACTS...
STORM SURGE FLOODING OF 2 TO 4 FEET ABOVE NORMAL TIDE LEVELS WILL
IMPACT THE WARNING AREA EARLY SUNDAY MORNING...AROUND THE TIME OF
ASTRONOMICAL HIGH TIDE. WATER LEVELS ARE CURRENTLY RUNNING ABOUT A
FOOT ABOVE PREDICTED LEVELS. DAUPHIN ISLAND WILL LIKELY HAVE GULF
WATER ENCROACHING OVER PORTIONS OF THE WEST END AND INTO THE SOUND.
THESE ARE AREAS WHERE THE BEACHES SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL EROSION FROM
IVAN. WATER WILL BE TRAPPED ON BIENVILLE BOULEVARD AS THE WATER
LEVELS RECEDE SUNDAY. BALDWIN COUNTY BEACHES WILL SEE STORM SURGE
FLOODING OF 2 TO 3 FEET ABOVE NORMAL TIDE LEVELS. THIS WILL SEND
WATER UP UNDER MANY OF THE GULF FACING BEACH PROPERTIES.

SUSTAINED WINDS ON THE IMMEDIATE COAST OF 30 TO 40 MPH WITH HIGHER
GUSTS WILL OCCUR LATE TONIGHT AND SUNDAY MORNING. WINDS OF THESE
SPEEDS MAY CAUSE ADDITIONAL DAMAGE TO PREVIOUSLY DAMAGED STRUCTURES.

A FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR MOBILE AND BALDWIN COUNTIES.
HEAVIER RAIN IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN LATER TONIGHT. RAINFALL TOTALS OF
