OF MEXICO TODAY AND MOVES TO THE NORTHEAST...HEAVY RAIN WILL SPREAD
OVER INLAND SOUTHEASTERN MISSISSIPPI AND SOUTHWESTERN ALABAMA THIS
EVENING.

IN TOTAL...THIS EVENT HAS THE POTENTIAL TO GENERATE RAINFALL AMOUNTS
BETWEEN 3 AND 5 INCHES ACROSS PORTIONS OF OUR REGION. ALSO...THE
DURATION OF THIS EVENT HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE QUITE PROLONGED...
DEPENDING ON THE EXACT TRACK AND SPEED OF THE SURFACE LOW.

ONCE THE RAINFALL BEGINS OVER OUR REGION THIS EVENING...BE PREPARED
FOR THE POSSIBILITY THAT INLAND SOUTHEASTERN MISSISSIPPI AND PORTIONS
OF SOUTHWESTERN ALABAMA MAY NOT SEE AN END TO THE RAIN UNTIL MIDDAY
SUNDAY. WHILE 3 TO 5 INCHES OF EVENT TOTAL RAINFALL WILL BE COMMON
...ISOLATED TOTALS OF 5 TO 7 INCHES MAY OCCUR WHERE THUNDERSTORMS

THOSE WHO EXPERIENCED ROOF DAMAGE TO THEIR HOUSES ...PREPARATIONS
SHOULD BE NEARING AND END.

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT FLOODING OF STREAMS...CREEKS AND OTHER
DRAINAGE AREAS IS POSSIBLE WITHIN THE WATCH AREA. PEOPLE IN THE WATCH

GROUND SHOULD HEAVY RAINS AND FLOODING OCCUR OR A WARNING IS ISSUED.

REMEMBER...MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR FROM DRIVING INTO FLOOD WATERS AND
WHEN CHILDREN PLAY IN AND AROUND RISING WATERS.

THE NEXT SCHEDULED FLOOD STATEMENT STATEMENT WILL BE ISSUED BY 600 PM
CDT THIS EVENING.
