...THE FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES UNTIL 400 PM EDT (300 PM CDT) TUESDAY
AFTERNOON FOR ALL OF THE EASTERN FLORIDA PANHANDLE...THE FLORIDA BIG
BEND...SOUTHWEST AND SOUTH CENTRAL GEORGIA AND SOUTHEAST ALABAMA...

THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM FRANCES HAS MOVED ONSHORE. SOME PARTS OF
THE WATCH AREA HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED 2 TO 4 INCHES OF RAIN. AS THE
CIRCULATION CENTER CONTINUES TO MOVE INLAND...VERY MOIST ONSHORE FLOW
WILL PERSIST. THERE WILL BE A CONTINUED RISK FOR ADDITIONAL RAIN
BANDS DEVELOPING WITH LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN...WHICH COULD PRODUCE
FLOODING WHEN THE NEW RAINFALL IS ADDED TO THE RAIN THAT HAS ALREADY
OCCURRED.

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THE THREAT FOR FLOODING EXISTS WITHIN THE WATCH
AREA. PERSONS IN THE AFFECTED AREA SHOULD MONITOR NOAA WEATHER RADIO
AND LOCAL TELEVISION OR RADIO. BE READY TO MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IF
FLOODING IS OBSERVED OR A WARNING IS ISSUED.
