NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HUNTSVILLE AL
400 AM CDT FRI SEP 17 2004

...THE FLOOD WATCH FOR THE TENNESSEE VALLEY HAS BEEN CANCELED...

AT 400 AM CDT...WEATHER RADAR INDICATED THE RAINFALL WAS ENDING
ACROSS THE AREA...AND THE FLOOD THREAT WAS DIMINISHING. THUS...THE
FLOOD WATCH HAS BEEN CANCELED. HOWEVER...LIGHT TO MODERATE RAIN WAS
STILL OCCURRING ACROSS NORTHEAST ALABAMA AND PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN
MIDDLE TENNESSEE. ALTHOUGH THIS RAIN WILL NOT BE HEAVY ENOUGH TO
LEAD TO FLOODING CONDITIONS...AREA CREEKS AND RIVERS WILL REMAIN
HIGH THROUGHOUT THE DAY DUE TO PREVIOUS RAINFALL. BE ALERT FOR ANY
STANDING WATER WHICH MAY STILL BE IN PLACE IN LOW-LYING AREAS AND
FAVORED LOCATIONS.
