THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN HUNTSVILLE ALABAMA HAS ISSUED A
FLOOD WATCH...EFFECTIVE FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH WEDNESDAY
AFTERNOON FOR PARTS OF SOUTHERN MIDDLE TENNESSEE AND NORTHEAST
ALABAMA.

THE WATCH INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
IN ALABAMA
MARSHALL...JACKSON AND DE KALB

IN TENNESSEE
FRANKLIN

FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON...A TOTAL OF
1 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN IS POSSIBLE IN THE RUGGED TERRAIN OF FRANKLIN
COUNTY TENNESSEE...AND JACKSON...DEKALB...AND MARSHALL COUNTIES IN
NORTHEAST ALABAMA...AS RAIN BANDS FROM THE REMAINS OF TROPICAL STORM
FRANCES MOVE OVER THE AREA. REPEATING AND HEAVY DOWNPOURS OF RAIN
ASSOCIATED WITH ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE BANDS COULD CAUSE
FLASH FLOODING AT FIRST...FOLLOWED BY RAPID RESPONSES AND SWELLING
OF AREA CREEKS AND STREAMS.

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT FLOODING IS POSSIBLE BUT NOT IMMINENT IN THE
WATCH AREA. PEOPLE IN THE WATCH AREA ARE ADVISED TO CHECK
PREPAREDNESS REQUIREMENTS...KEEP INFORMED...AND BE READY FOR QUICK
