ALABAMA... SOUTHWEST AND SOUTH CENTRAL GEORGIA...THE EASTERN FLORIDA
PANHANDLE AND THE FLORIDA BIG BEND UNTIL 500 PM EDT THURSDAY
AFTERNOON
(400 PM CDT THURSDAY AFTERNOON)...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TALLAHASSEE HAS ISSUED A FLOOD WATCH
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 500 PM EDT THURSDAY AFTERNOON (400 PM CDT THURSDAY
AFTERNOON) FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES.

IN SOUTHEAST ALABAMA...
COFFEE...DALE...GENEVA...HENRY AND HOUSTON.

IN SOUTHWEST AND SOUTH CENTRAL GEORGIA...
BAKER...BEN HILL...BERRIEN...BROOKS...CALHOUN...CLAY...COLQUITT...
COOK...DECATUR...DOUGHERTY...EARLY...GRADY...IRWIN...LANIER...LEE...
LOWNDES...MILLER...MITCHELL...QUITMAN...RANDOLPH...SEMINOLE...
TERRELL...THOMAS...TIFT...TURNER AND WORTH.

IN NORTH FLORIDA...
BAY...CALHOUN...DIXIE...FRANKLIN...GADSDEN...GULF...HOLMES...
JACKSON...JEFFERSON...LAFAYETTE...LEON...LIBERTY...MADISON...
TAYLOR...WAKULLA...WALTON AND WASHINGTON.

BONNIE IS EXPECTED TO ACCELERATE AND MOVE QUICKLY THROUGH THE REGION
ON THURSDAY AND BRING PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN TO THE REGION. ALSO THE
PRESENCE OF AN OLD FRONTAL BOUNDARY OVER THE AREA AND SOME UPPER
LEVEL WEATHER DISTURBANCES WILL PRODUCE RAINFALL TOTALS OF ONE TO
THREE INCHES BEFORE THE STORM MOVES INTO THE AREA. OVERNIGHT
WEDNESDAY AND ON THURSDAY...BONNIE IS EXPECTED TO BRING AN ADDITIONAL
3 TO 5 INCHES OR RAIN...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS OVER THE REGION.
THIS WILL CAUSE FLOODING IN LOW LYING AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS. SOME
RIVER FLOODING IS POSSIBLE AS WELL. RESIDENTS SHOULD MONITOR THIS
SITUATION CLOSELY.

BE READY TO ACT IMMEDIATELY IF FLOODING IS OBSERVED OR A FLOOD
WARNING IS ISSUED. DO NOT DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IF THREATENING WATER LEVELS OCCUR.

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT FLOODING OF SMALL STREAMS...CREEKS...AND
OTHER DRAINAGE AREAS IS POSSIBLE WITHIN THE WATCH AREA. PEOPLE IN
THE WATCH AREA SHOULD KEEP AN EYE ON THE WEATHER AND BE PREPARED FOR
IMMEDIATE ACTION SHOULD HEAVY RAINS AND FLOODING OCCUR OR A FLOOD
WARNING BE ISSUED.

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THE THREAT FOR FLOODING EXISTS WITHIN THE WATCH
AREA. PERSONS IN THE AFFECTED AREA SHOULD MONITOR NOAA WEATHER RADIO
AND LOCAL TELEVISION OR RADIO. BE READY TO MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IF
FLOODING IS OBSERVED OR A WARNING IS ISSUED.
