WEATHERSHIELD Cleaning & Restoration Services

It's that time of year again! Everyone is heading outside to enjoy their
deck, grilling out, and hanging out at the pool. If you are like everyone
else, you have big plans for the summer. As you think about those things,
you're probably thinking that your deck needs some work. That's why
you need to call us.

We are a professional company that specializes in restoring your deck,
privacy fence, or any natural wood product to a condition you can be proud
of. Our unique process includes mixing our own cleaning chemicals, vigorous

pressure washing, and applying our special wood preservative. Our
preservative completely seals the wood to protect it from all weather
elements for years to come. It outlasts anything you can buy off the shelf
in stores. Once applied, you should never have to chemically clean and
pressure wash your wood again.

Join the hundreds of people that have allowed us to restore and protect
their investment. Call us and we will explain the process in more detail
and answer all of your questions. We'll be glad to give you a FREE
estimate. Don't forget to check out our web site to see our Before and
After Portfolio.

My goodness gracious! I know you have heard that expression a few times. As
I sat in my office late yesterday and last night, I caught myself muttering
that over and over as I watched all the severe weather unfold to our north
and west. In all my years of weather work, I have never seen such a huge bow
echo and line of vicious thunderstorms do so much damage over such a great
distance. They started in Western Kansas and moved quickly SE passing
through Oklahoma, North and East Texas, Western Arkansas and the North 2/3
of Louisiana. There were 222 reports of high wind and 192 reports of hail
but no tornadoes! Another reason why you should never ignore a severe
thunderstorm warning. At Childress, Texas, 35-40 railway cars were blown
over and a mobile home was rolled 150 yards. Near Hope, Arkansas, I-35 was
closed because of so many trucks blown over. I could go on and on, but I
must snatch myself back home to talk about:

ALABAMA WEATHER: Still unsettled here but things look better starting
tomorrow. However, for the near term, we must look out for the possibility
of some strong thunderstorms later today and tonight. A few of the storms
could become severe. The best chance of that is late this afternoon through
this evening.

A stalled front to our NW will finally reach Central Alabama tomorrow. While
we will have some morning clouds, and maybe even a few leftover showers,
clouds will decrease during the day. We expect mostly sunshine for Saturday.
By late in the weekend, look for a few thunderstorms to show up. (See our
day-by-day forecast)

TROPICAL WEATHER: No tropical development expected anytime soon.

AIR QUALITY: It was Code Yellow today-moderate air quality.

WEEKEND AT THE BEACH: Highs 85-88. Only a few showers or storms on
Saturday...but scattered ones Sunday and Monday.

ROAMING: Lowest temperature this morning was 29 in Yellowstone National
Park. Hot spots yesterday, Wink and Castolon, Texas with 111 and Death
Valley 115...in those severe storms yesterday, 11 hangers were damaged at
Vernon Airport in North Texas with wind gusts measured at 85 mph...lots of
damage in Tulsa...a big flash-flood disaster on this date in 1921 when a
cloudburst near Pikes Peak resulted in 120 fatalities.

MY TINY CORNER OF THE WORLD: Boy, did I have Little Miss Molly pooped late
last night when we went to bed. Lots of playing did her (and me) in. When we
went to bed, she plopped down and did not move all night. She slept so
soundly that she had me out walking at 5:50 am. For the second morning in a
row, a bird, perched high in the Old Crow Motel was speaking
loudly...sounded like the same bird. It is so interesting to see and hear
all the little creatures of the world on our first walk of the day...Molly
and I don't miss a thing...Lori Barlow from Clay County, writing on the
33/40 weather forum mentioned that her favorite limb on her favorite tree
was ripped off by the early Monday storms...I am glad that other people have
favorite trees and even favorite limbs...life goes on.
