WEATHERSHIELD Cleaning & Restoration Services

It's that time of year again! Everyone is heading outside to enjoy their
deck, grilling out, and hanging out at the pool. If you are like everyone
else, you have big plans for the summer. As you think about those things,
you're probably thinking that your deck needs some work. That's why
you need to call us.

We are a professional company that specializes in restoring your deck,
privacy fence, or any natural wood product to a condition you can be proud
of. Our unique process includes mixing our own cleaning chemicals, vigorous

pressure washing, and applying our special wood preservative. Our
preservative completely seals the wood to protect it from all weather
elements for years to come. It outlasts anything you can buy off the shelf
in stores. Once applied, you should never have to chemically clean and
pressure wash your wood again.

Join the hundreds of people that have allowed us to restore and protect
their investment. Call us and we will explain the process in more detail
and answer all of your questions. We'll be glad to give you a FREE
estimate. Don't forget to check out our web site to see our Before and
After Portfolio.

BEARABLE TEMPERATURES: No real hot weather in the old weather pot for the
rest of this week and a good part of the week will be dry. It sure wasn't
dry across South Alabama this morning as several clusters of thunderstorms
moved eastward across the area. A severe thunderstorm watch was posted and a
flash-flood watch for part of the area. Some areas received several inches
of rain. Around noon, golf ball size hail pelted Wilmer in Mobile County.

Still could be some more scattered storms in that area tomorrow but most of
the area will be dry. As some drier air slowly meanders into the state over
the next few days, we will see some pleasantly cooler nights. By Friday
morning it may be in the 55-60 range.
It was nice and cool (and very foggy) early this morning. A few low
temperatures:

56 in Ashland
57 in Pinson and Oak Grove
58 in Jasper and Valley Head

AIR QUALITY: Another Code Green today, generally good air quality. We won't
have too many of those for the next several months.

TROPICAL WEATHER: Today is the first "official" day of Hurricane season. A
westward moving tropical wave was located 1300 miles east of the Lesser
Antilles. Conditions are not favorable for development.
Some of the names for this season: Alex, Bonnie, Charley, Danielle, Earl,
Frances, Gaston.

SUNDAY NIGHT'S SEVERE WEATHER: It appears that there was more widespread
damage than at first expected as a powerful line of thunderstorms moved east
across the area in the wee morning hours of Monday.

SPOT CHECKS: The old heat index was expected to soar as high as 120 in parts
of extreme South Texas this afternoon-dangerous levels for sure. Yesterday,
the temperature reached 109 in Laredo...hottest in the USA yesterday was 111
in Death Valley...it was 25 in Big Piney, Wyoming this morning and 26 in
Barrow, Alaska...three tractor-trailers blown over in Morgan County, West
Virginia this morning during severe thunderstorms-one
fatality...temperatures as low as 108 below zero at the Vostok station in
Antarctica and the Amundsen-Scott station had minus 88 with brisk winds.

MY TINY CORNER OF THE WORLD: The Old Crow Motel sure looked spooky shrouded
in heavy fog this morning...could not see how many birds were resting...one
of these days, high winds will down the old lady and Molly and I will be
sad...even though I was exhausted, I played with Molly for 90 minutes late
last night and she loved every minute...when we went to bed we were both
asleep in 90 seconds...this morning Molly was inspecting the underbrush and
she did not see a baby rabbit sitting only two feet away...when she finally
saw him, she jerked me off my feet...never seen a tiny rabbit run so
fast...rocket speed..very sorry to report that one of the baby rabbits has
become a victim of road-kill...flattened in the street that runs down the
upper end of the walking track...we were attached to him but life goes on.
