WEATHERSHIELD Cleaning & Restoration Services

It's that time of year again! Everyone is heading outside to enjoy their
deck, grilling out, and hanging out at the pool. If you are like everyone
else, you have big plans for the summer. As you think about those things,
you're probably thinking that your deck needs some work. That's why
you need to call us.

We are a professional company that specializes in restoring your deck,
privacy fence, or any natural wood product to a condition you can be proud
of. Our unique process includes mixing our own cleaning chemicals, vigorous

pressure washing, and applying our special wood preservative. Our
preservative completely seals the wood to protect it from all weather
elements for years to come. It outlasts anything you can buy off the shelf
in stores. Once applied, you should never have to chemically clean and
pressure wash your wood again.

Join the hundreds of people that have allowed us to restore and protect
their investment. Call us and we will explain the process in more detail
and answer all of your questions. We'll be glad to give you a FREE
estimate. Don't forget to check out our web site to see our Before and
After Portfolio.

A STORMY NIGHT: All of the weather people are a bit groggy today-very short
on sleep. It was a long night in the weather office with a large number of
strong to severe thunderstorms. A big plus to all of that was that many
sections of Alabama got a drenching which was much needed. This is a small
sample of some of the heavier amounts:

2.53 inches in Hamilton
2.50 in Jasper
2.38 at Blount Springs
2.35 at Carbon Hill

Wind damage was reported overnight in at least 13 Alabama counties-probably
more. The damage was not major but a lot of trees came down in some areas.
North Alabama was getting a break from rough weather today but the extreme
south was still under the gun. A tornado watch was posted for the extreme
south. A tornado warning was posted for Covington, Coffee and Geneva
Counties this afternoon.

What's ahead? Please refer to our day-by-day forecast for the details. There
is a good bit of uncertainty in the next few days because of a slow-moving
cold front. Friday looks like our best weather for this week with
considerable sunshine, lower humidity and a little cooler at night.

BATTING 1000: Our associate, Bill Murray, went on his first storm chase
several weeks ago. He hit luck SE of Wichita Falls, Texas where his team saw
and photographed a tornado on the ground. Saturday, they were on their
second chase in South Kansas. They scored big with seven tornadoes! That is
unheard of. Most storm chasers do not see one after many tries. Bill has
fantastic photographs.

AIR QUALITY: As you may have guessed, it is Code Green for today and
Tuesday. Good air quality. A widespread rain can do wonders to improve the
air quality.

TORNADO SCORECARD: Another wild 24 hours with 84 reports of tornadoes
bringing the week's total to an amazing 400! Places like Illinois, Indiana
and Kentucky had the most. Major damage on the SE side of Indianapolis where
a TV station tower cam captured it clearly. One fatality and numerous
injuries at Marengo, Indiana.

LOOKING AROUND: Don't know why this fascinates me so much but the
temperature today at the Vostok weather station in Antarctica was steady at
104 below zero! The wind chill was as low as 149 below! Want to walk you dog
in conditions like that? The lowest in the Lower 48 this morning was 24 at
Alamosa, Colorado and hottest yesterday 106 at Del Rio, Texas and in Death
Valley.

MY TINY CORNER OF THE WORLD: Amazing how a little animal tries to pattern
their life after their human owners and pals. Little Miss Molly's sleep was
all mixed up overnight because of the storms so she has been sleeping like a
hibernating bear today. I worked all night but when I arrived home at 6 this
morning, she greeted me with her usual full-of-life mode. Sure made me feel
good and I forgot about being sleepy! Who needs sleep? It was playtime! Life
goes on -J
